Give the Parlor a White Christmas- Part 2
The last of the painting work was finished hours before family came in from out of town. Below are images of the finished parlor. We love the color combination so much, we may use it on the other rooms in the first floor.
After plastering over torn edges and other damage to the wallpaper, we covered the wallpaper with an oil-based primer and then a water-based finish coat. Some flaws were still visible in the end, but the results were decent considering it was a quick alternative to doing things right and stripping the wallpaper.
